The one I am using ,the one with some effects missing.I tweaked it very slightly to my taste and am running it without any problems whatsoever. Extract all files within it to wherever you want and cut-copy-paste all files to your game installation directory (the one with LaunchGTAIV.exe and GTAIV.exe).Make sure that before replacing, open the extracted folder, then copy all files (pc folder, common folder.etc) in the exact order to your game's main installation directory. The one you should be using ,the one with the full effects possible.I can't access right now (Resource Limit Reached error) but it's probably named as just Icenhancer 3.0 this time.In other words, there is no explicit labelling as Icenhancer for v1.0.4.0.Download this (Just click on the Mirror button on the website ,instead of the Blue Download button.). Now,Icenhancer is divided into 3 versions ,according to the patch version the base game is running on. Great to know that you downloaded all those folders/files. Let me explain what to do,step-by-step.Quite simply, you are putting the wrong version of the mod in your game directory. I've literally been at it for 8 HOURS STRAIGHT today not including the hours I put in yesterday So I've been at this uninstalling and reinstalling the game to get this freakin mod to work trying everything I can think of and I'm just frustrated. Also, it's barely playable because I try walking around and then I get a horrible drunken-like camera that just keeps spinning around. Things are too bright and textures are very dullened. I go through with everything, and it seems like the mod's enabled, BUT it doesn't really look like in the videos I see. So I exit out and go to desktop, then I uninstall and reinstall the game, and instead of putting the eflc folder in there, I put in the 1070 version even though I'm pretty sure I have the 1040 version of the game. Anyways, so I turn on the game, and everything is WAYYY TOO DARK. Only when I uninstalled then reinstalled the game I had to. I have a real copy though and not an illegal one. When I try to do the latter method, the game asks for a release date check, but the bar never moves. After everything is done, I open the enbinjector, then start GTAIV by clicking on the application in the folder since I can't play the game through LaunchGTAIV.exe. So I clicked yes to all, and then I proceeded to with the other folders in similar fashions by following their readme's. I figured that the EFLC folder was the one for the 1040 version of the game so I opened it up and copied the contents to my GTAIV folder which then prompted me several times to replace other contents in the folder. They came in folders called: DKT_ROADS, BISONSALES_TEX, HQ_BLOOD, METALLIC_PAINT, 1070, OPTIMUS_GPUS, and EFLC. So I downloaded all the files and extracted them to the desktop. I really want to enjoy the beauty of this mod. not as admin and with no compatibility settings. Thanks for being thorough man. Run the game using GTAIV.exe normally i.e.The way this is done is well documented at the main site/repo so please do so accordingly set to 0 once you've tested and see that everything's working Create a new txt file in main folder and input the following, then rename it to nf.Follow prescribed instructions and install iCenhancer. Follow prescribed instructions and install XLivelessAddon.Rename d3d9.dll to dxvk.dll (other names shld work too). From the DXVK archive, in x32 folder, extract both dxgi.dll and d3d9.dll into the main GTA IV folder.Google and download the latest versions of DXVK, Reshade, iCEnhancer 3.0 Natural by DayL and XLivelessAddon.Once you're set with having a clean GTA IV 1.04 then: All these were done on the latest Windows 10 Pro 20H2. I ignored the date check/online activation and I patched my way up using official update patches all the way to 1.04. You may give it a try if you have those but none of them worked for me personally until I completely uninstalled and reinstalled from my old 2 Disc DVD copy. Mind you this is for a clean GTA IV v1.04, not downgraded from 1.08, complete edition, etc. Since people are asking nicely so here's a step by step.
